[None. Work starts as follows:]
This paper is part of the San Francisco Bay Project being carried out under the auspices of the Department of Invertebrate Zoology, California Academy of Sciences. The ultimate aim of this effort is to cover all marine and estuarine invertebrates of the intertidal and subtidal benthos of the San Francisco Bay system, and to produce a series of identification manuals covering this fauna (see Light, 1976). The polychaetous annelids are being investigated by means of earlier records, examination of previously recorded species where possible, and studies of additional material collected from various sources. This study was supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation (BMS 74-23523).
