Etymology The specific epithet polytuberculata is composed by the Greek prefix poly-, meaning 'many', and the Latin adjective tuberculata, meaning 'tuberculate', 'warty' or 'having tubercles', referring "to the high number of dorsal tubercles present on members of this species" (De Chiara et al., 2017).
