Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Lastochkin (1935: 636-637): "Asexual production absent; body flattened dorsoventrally, external segmentation complicated and perfectly distinct; prolobic prostomium; pharyngeal pocket ("Schlundtasche" of German authors) on ventral side of pharynx; ventral and dorsal setal bundles closely set together; ciliated pits, "oil"-drops, and side vessels wanting. Segmentally arranged sticky glands serve as attaching organs." [details]
