Classification Potts (1910) created Palmyropsis in Family Palmyridae (now invalid, type genus now in Aphroditidae), evidently overlooking the existing subgenus Palmyra (Palmyropsis) of Claparède, 1864. Homonymy Augener (1922: 9-10) noticed that Palmyropsis Potts, 1910 was an unavailable name as a junior homonym of Palmyra (Palmyropsis) Claparède, 1864 [details]
