Diagnosis "Compact prostomium with thickened outfolded lips, numerous thick grooved oral tentacles. Three pairs of simple gills on segments 2-4. Lateral lobes poorly defined. Notopodia from segment 4 (3rd branchiferous) and continue for 16 segments, with finely serrated capillary notosetae. Uncini from setiger 2, and continue to pygidium. Uncini of 1st, 4 rows, heavily chitinized long handled hooks, following ones avicular." (Hutchings, 1977: 16)  [details]
