Editor's comment Jacob Theodor Klein (1685-1759) illustrated a pectinariid annelid as Solen fragilis. Klein's plate shows a pectinariid tube. This name McIntosh, 1922 put under both Pectinaria belgica on his p. 38 (date 1773, with reference Klein Descr. Tubul. Mur., p. 21, Tab. i, fig. 5.) and under Lagis koreni on his p. 49 (date 1731. Klein. Tab. mar., p. 21, t. xv.) However, each McIntosh citation has errors. A 1773 edition of the 1731 work is unlikely (he was dead already) and there is no plate 15 - only up to plate 9) Hartman catalogue (p.481) lists Solen fragilis as a pectinariid because of the two McIntosh synonymy entries [details]
