Association The species lives associated with the gorgonian Melithaea flabellifera (Kükenthal, 1908), as a commensal. [details]
Depth range 3-15 m. [details]
Distribution Japanese coast of the Philippine Sea, Izu Peninsula, Ohura Bay. Known only from the type locality. [details]
Etymology Species named after Dr. Chris Glasby, from the Museum and Art gallery of the Northern Territory, Darwin, Australia, who made important contributions to the knowledge of the polychaetes in general and syllids in particular, and also participated in the description of the genus Alcyonosyllis, to which the new species belongs. [details]
Habitat The species lives as a commensal of the gorgonian Melithaea flabellifera (Kükenthal, 1908). [details]
Type locality Japan (marine), Honshu, Shizuoka, southern part of Izu Peninsula, Shimoda, Ohura Bay (= Nabeta Bay) (34º57'N, 138º57'E). [details]
