Etymology The species is named in honor of the late Dr. Enrique Rioja lo Bianco (1895-1963), a prominent Spanish biologist and expert on polychaetes, first in Spain, and later in Mexico, during his exile after Franco's coup d'état and Spanish civil war, and the posterior persecution of republican, anarchist and left wing activists and sympathizers.
