Etymology Not stated. The specific epithet lingulata (masculine: lingulatus) is a Latin adjective meaning 'tongue-shaped' or 'lingulate', and presumably refers to the shape of the interramal lamellae on the posterior chaetigers, where they are described as being ''conspicuously lingulate and obliquely protruded'' (Imajima, 1992: 10).
