Etymology The specific epithet sexpapillata derives from the combination of the Latin root sex, meaning 'six', and the Latin word papillata, meaning 'having papillae', and refers to the presence of six dorsal papillae on each segment after chaetiger 5, disposed in two regular groups of three, and forming longitudinal rows. Habitat Coralligene, muddy sediments in mangroves, rock pools with mud, stones, fine sand, and detritus, and amongst algae, all in shallow water. [details]
Type locality Australia, Western Australia, Broome, Gantheaume Point, cliff with rocky terraces near the lighthouse (geocoordinates not provided, estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. -17.973, long. 122.177). [details]
