Etymology The specific epithet oligobranchiatum is composed by the Greek prefix oligo-, meaning 'few', and the Latin adjective branchiatum, meaning 'having gills', and refers to the small number of branchial filaments present in the species. [details]
Habitat Inside colonies of the stony coral Mussismilia hispida (Verrill, 1868), on intertidal rocky shores. [details]
