Synonymy Compare Pseudobranchiomma ceratodaula. Knight-Jones & Giangrande (2003) indicated Sabella ceratodaula Schmarda, 1861 is probably the same as Sabella grandis but lacks a type. Presumably they were assessing the original description and electing to treat S. ceratodaula as a nomen dubium, as it is the senior name. See Pseudobranchiomma ceratodaula for Schmarda's original plate. [details]
