Etymology The species is dedicated to Dr. harry ten Hove, from the Zoological Museum, University of Amsterdam, who made important contributions to the knowledge of polychaetes and loaned specimens of Haplosyllis to the authors. [details]
Habitat Sandy bottoms with algae, sponges and tunicates, and calcareous rocks, among dead corals and sponges. [details]
Type locality Indonesia, Komodo, north-eastern Cape (08º29'S, 119º34.1'E). [details]
