Nomenclature Westheide (2013) recombined Uncopodarke intermedia (he mistakenly referred to the name as Uncopoda intermedia) as Microphthalmus intermedius, thus also synonymising the monotypic genus. However the original name is already unavailable for nomenclature as Article 16 of the code was not complied with. Uchida, Lopéz & Sato, 2019 published Uncopodarke intermedia as an available name, and Salazar-vallejo et al 2019 regarded it as valid. [details]
