Distribution Australia: High Rock, south Lizard Island (Great Barrier Reef, Queensland). Only known from the type locality. [details]
Etymology The specific epithet longilinea is composed by the Latin prefix longi-, meaning 'long', and the Latin noun linea, meaning 'string' or 'line', and refers to the "remarkably elongate and slender body shape of the holotype" (Nogueira et al., 2015: 445). [details]
Habitat Associated with dead coral substrate. [details]
Type locality Australia, Queensland, Great Barrier Reef, Lizard Island, High Rock (14º44'33''S, 145º33'08''E). The provided location seems to be incorrect, as High Rock is located southwards. The geocoordinates of the type locality are here corrected to approximately lat. -14.823º, long. 145.554º. [details]
