Holotype ICML-UNAM LEB 144, geounit Cortezian [details]
From editor or global species database
Editor's comment Celtodoryx chichiltik is a rather dubious Celtodoryx. The lack of spines on the megasclere endings and the very thin 'oxychaetes', which appear to differ from the straight and clearly oxea-like oxychaetes of C. ciocalyptoides are morphological differences. The molecular sequence results are difficult to explain, perhaps because the Poecilosclerid families are not sufficiently studied molecularly to make firm conclusions, but C. ciocalyptoides and C. chichiltik do not appear to be closely related. For the time being a different genus for C. chichiltik is not apparent, so the genus assignment is kept as the authors proposed.. [details]
