Homonymy This is a junior secondary homonym of Geodia robusta (Carter, 1883 as Stelletta bacillifera var. robusta, a senior homonym of Geodia robusta (Lendenfeld, 1910) (as Geodinella), renamed Geodia lendenfeldi by Stone et al. 2011, and a senior homonym of Geodia reniformis var. robusta Lebwohl, 1914, now subsumed in the parent species Geodia reniformis Thiele, 1898. If the homonymy with Carter's species has been confirmed, a new name for the present species needs to be erected. [details]
