Taxonomy This was based on Halichondria corrugata Bowerbank, 1866, which according to Burton (1930) is a Mycale with very rare anisochelae. Topsent's material was considered a different species for which Burton erected a new species Tylodesma (=Desmacella) topsenti. [details]
