From editor or global species database
Taxonomy De Laubenfels (1936) assigned Carter's Hymeraphia unispiculum described from the Gulf of Manaar to Aaptos, and this was followed up by De Laubenfels (1954: Marshall Islands) and Desqueyroux (1972: Juan Fernandez Islands). It is unlikely that Carter's species is an Aaptos and that its distribution covers the wider Pacific Ocean [details]
