Homonymy This is a junior secondary homonym of H. inflata Bowerbank, 1874. Since Bowerbank's species is accepted as j.syn. of Halicnemia patera Bowerbank, 1864, Arndt's name may be maintained as the homonymy has been removed. The present combination is also a senior secondary homonym of Hymedesmia inflata Vacelet, 1969, which means the latter has to be renamed. [details]
