Type material The material has not been reexamined and is possibly lost. The description seems to indicate that this could be a Callyspongia, but the combination Callyspongia elastica is already used for the species originally named Phylosiphonia elastica Kieschnick, 1898. The assignment to Haliclona is based on the synonymy of Chalina with Haliclona. [details]
