Homonymy This combination is a senior secondary homonym of Geodia robusta sensu Lendenfeld, 1907, Geodia robusta (sensu Lendenfeld, 1910, originally as Geodinella) and Geodia reniformis var. robusta sensu Lebwohl, 1914. The two latter homonyms have been removed by erection of a nomen novum Geodia lendenfeldi Stone et al. 2011, and by subsuming of Lebwohl's variety into the species G. renifomis. If the Cárdenas et al. 2011 synonymy will be accepted, then an additional nomen novum is needed for Geodia robusta sensu Lendenfeld, 1907. [details] Taxonomic remark According to Cardenas et al.
