Identification Zaitsev (1993) mentions this combination in his FAO report on the environmental condition of the Black Sea. He based this on Swartschewsky's (1905) record of Reniera ascidia Schmidt, 1870, which is obviously erroneous. Schmidt's species occurs in deep water in the Gulf of Mexico and is condered an Oceanapia. [details]
