The report is based оп the studing [sic] of the collection of Polychaetous Anпelids were takeп from depth 4716-8116 m bу R/V «Akademik Kurchatov» in the South Sandwich, South Orkney treпches and in the fracture-treпch iп the central part of the Scotia Sea. About 35 species belong to 31 genera and 16 families have bееп found. 5 of them are пеw to the scieпce. The lюrizoпtal апd veгtical ranges of all species аre reviewed. Тhе analysis of the vertical distгibutioп of the Polychaetous iп the deep~sea treпches have shown the isolation of the deep-wateг ·fauпa of Polychaetous from tlюse of shallow-water zone. Iп coпtrary great amont [sic] of panoceanic abyssal species in the explored trenches indicate оn the close affiпifies of this fauna to the World Ocean abyssal faund [sic] of Polychaeta.
