Status Benzoni et al. (2014) studied the other genera that were originally classified with this family (Blastomussa, Physogyra, Plerogyra). They argued that these three taxa should be placed in a separate new family. This would require more morphological analyses and therefore these genera remain in Incertae sedis. [details]
