Validity A 'lost species' according to H.L. Clark (1921). Although there are two specimens in the collection of the BMNH labelled as types of Dactylosaster gracilis, they agree better with the data given by Gray for Cistina columbiae, so H.L. Clark's comment was doubly correct. [details]
