Etymology From Blake (2023: 254): "This species is named in honour of Dr Geoffrey Read, Marine Biologist with the National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research Ltd (NIWA), Wellington, New Zealand in recognition of his long-time role as Chief Editor of annelids for the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS). In addition, Dr Read has long maintained a website site dedicated to polychaetes and provides a wide range of assistance in addressing problems with zoological nomenclature and locating references, many of which are long out of print." [details]
