Etymology Authors: Sirsoe feitiana from "“feitian”, meaning “flying apsara” in Chinese. In the famous murals in Yungang, Longmen, and Dunhuang Grottoes in China, they are featured by their long ribbon fluttering elegantly and beautifully. The new species also have long and elegant cirrophores which resemble Feitian's ribbon, giving a sense of flying or drifting. The suggested formal Chinese name is “飞天神女虫”.  [details]
