Two new species,
Hesionella mccullochae, new genus, new species, and
Poecilochaetus johnstoni, new species, are described. The first belongs to a family for which only a single species (
Podarke pugettensis Johnson) has heretofore been known from California; the second to a family (Disomidae), not previously reported from the Western Hemisphere. The former is associated with a species of
Lumbrineris, the status of whose name is in some confusion, and for which some observations are made on the life history.
