Diagnosis Corallum colonial, recumbant, having irregular, extratentacular budding from an axial corallite; theca costate and hispid; Pourtalès plan and paliform lobes present; columella discrete, spongy; azooxanthellate. [details]

Remark This genus and family were monographed by Cairns (2001), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. Eight species, only one known as a fossil. [details]
