Type specimen Type is lost. Salazar-Vallejo & Jimi (2025) report that "Pareurythoe borealis (Sars) [formerly Eurythoe borealis] was described with a specimen collected off Manger, Norway, in sediments at 109–126 m water depth, but it was lost (Sars 1862, 58; Oug et al. 2014, 224) [details]
