Taxonomic remark The hydroid releases medusae. Ritchie speaks of medusoids, but he states that he could not 'distinguished" in the medusoid...  
Taxonomic remark The hydroid releases medusae. Ritchie speaks of medusoids, but he states that he could not 'distinguished" in the medusoid buds. The tentacle number increase after the release of the medusa.
Therefore, the species is temporarily placed in the hgenus Podocoryna, pending a more detailed examination of new material collected from the type locality. [details]
