Cribrospirolina, a New Genus of the Family Soritidae

Specimens related to the genus Spirolina Lamarck, 1804, but with a distinctive cribrate aperture are present in Persian Gulf Recent bottom sediments and represent a new genus of the family Soritidae, herein designated Cribrospirolina. Descriptions of a new species and variety of the genus are included.
