Diagnosis Test discoidal, flattened, trochospiral in the early stage, may be attached, later planispiral and nearly symmetrical, with chambers added in annular series, those of successive annuli alternating in position, sutures depressed to thickened and limbate, periphery angular to rounded; wall calcareous, coarsely perforate, optically radial, central part of the test may be thickened by lamellar additions; two interiomarginal apertures per chamber lie at opposite ends of each chamber on the periphery and are provided with a narrow bordering lip.
