Etymology Johnston named Spinther oniscoides, and oniscoides means sow-bug like (like a terrestrial isopod). However, in his text Johnston compares the worm to Cypraea europaea, a cowry shell mollusc with a finely ridged shell. Comparison of the two shows that Johnston's comparison was apt. [details]
