Description Aboral side: The spines are rather short, stout and of uniform size. It is likely that this specimen lived in a habitat with heavy water motion. In more sheltered water the spines are more slender, and the primaries distinctly longer than the secondaries.
Diameter with spines 56 mm; Bergen, Norway.
