In an investigation on the plankton collected from Luoyauan Bay during November 1986-October 1987, a new genus and two new species of Hydromedusae are found. Of which, one new genus and one new species belong to the family Rathkiedae of Athecatae-Anthomedusae and the another to the family Eucheilotidae of Thecatae-Leptomedusae. All type specimens are deposited in the Department of Oceanography, Xiamen University, China. (The following new taxa are described: Pseudorathkea macrogastrica gen. et sp. nov., and Eucheilota multicirris sp. nov.)Descriptors: Allorathkea macrogastrica, Pseudorathkea macrogastrica new genus new species; Eucheilota multicirris new speciesfigs 1-2.
