The genus Leiaster Peters is a group of general littoral Asterids, distributed to whole the Indo-Pacific Ocean, reaching from the East African Coast to the Gulf of California. Nine species and one subspecies of Leiaster are described. A recital of the litterature per species, some remarks and synonyms are mentioned. A little key is also added.
