Five species of Lernaeopodidae (Neobrachiella menticirrhi sp. nov., N. chevreuxii, N. oralis, N. fasciata and Clavellotis dilatata) are reported from the gills of sciaenid fishes caught in the Bahía de Chorrillos, Peru. N. menticirrhi sp. nov. is described from 7 ovigerous females taken off Menticirrhus ophicephalus. The other 4 species are all new geographical records, and were found on new hosts (C. dilatata on Stellifer minor and M. ophicephalus, N. chevreuxii on Paralonchurus peruanus, N. oralis on Sciaena deliciosa and N. fasciata on S. fasciata).
