Editor's comment The later interpretation is confused. Misinterpreted by Caullery & Mesnil (1879) for which see instead Neodexiospira pseudocorrugatus Bush, and also in the sense originally intended by Montagu (1803) sometimes incorrectly (incorrect because senior in priority) synonymized to Spirorbis (S) rupestris Gee & Knight-Jones, 1962. [details]
