Etymology Named in honour of the author's wife and children, Jacqueline Kirby Lovell, Andrew Kirby Lovell, and Robyn Kirby Lovell, after the author's wife's family name, Kirby. [details]Spelling The spelling perhaps should have been plural 'kirbyorum' in relation to three people but the etymology begins "Kirby is my wife's family name" so 'kirbyae" is also possible. Much later Lovell & Fitzhugh (2020) wished to update the name to L. kirbyorum, but this seems to be not required under the 4th Code. [details]
