Taxonomy Wesenberg-Lund (1950) clearly indicated Melinnides and its type species M rostrata were based on a single deteriorated specimen, but Jirkov (2018) regards the taxa as valid, although Day (1964) treated the genus name as a synonym of Melinnopsis. [details]
