Etymology The epitheton infinita (latin: boundless, unlimited, endless, infinite) refers to the seemingly endless discovery of new species and the never ending chaos within the group of ‘orchomenids’. It expresses the opposite to the morphologically most similar species, O. ultima, whose name could be misleadingly interpreted as the last species ever described in that genus. [details]
