Etymology Not stated. Obviously 'limnicola' means dweller in a lake, but Euchone limnicola came from a marina open to the sea. Reish should have used 'limicola' which means a dweller on mud. Hartman (1966: 203) silently corrected the name to 'limicola', but this is not allowed. [details]
