Nomenclature Hartman reports an apparent lapsus calami by Eisig for Scolaricia typica Eisig, but the error is a misunderstanding of Hartman's own creation, so creating a nomen nudum in her 1957 work. In Eisig's (1914) text "Sa lucia" is wrongly printed in italics on page 261, so causing Hartman to misinterpret it as Scolaricia lucia. Eisig does use "Sa" as an abbreviation for genus Scolaricia, but the mention on page 261 is to Santa Lucia Harbour at Naples. Eisig has 14 mentions of Santa Lucia as a placename, sometimes abbreviated as Sa. Lucia, notably in the table of locations on page 456. There is no doubt that Hartman has made a mistake and created an unnecessary nomen nudum. There is no species named Scolaricia lucia. [details]
