Taxonomy Bergström (1916) evidently included the Ehlers (1901: 42) deep southern records of Harmothoe hirsuta [not H hirsuta...  
Taxonomy Bergström (1916) evidently included the Ehlers (1901: 42) deep southern records of Harmothoe hirsuta [not H hirsuta Johnson, 1897) in his new species Harmothoe anderssoni, but he refers to the Johnson name as "Polynoe hirsuta". Neal et al (2020: 16) explain that the name Harmothoe anderssoni was "referred to as Eunoe by Monro (1936), moved to Hermadion by Fauvel (1950) and again considered Eunoe by Hartman (1966)." Neal et al (2020) reinstate the species as Harmothoe anderssoni, based on their new records. They do not mention the type material, which had been examined by Bock et al (2010: 48) and placed as a Eunoe. [details]
