A new species of parasitic copepod, Sphaeronella squamosa, is described from its ostracod host, Codonocera sp. The holotype was collected with a Bongo net (330 mu m) by vertical towing on the southeastern sea of the Korean Peninsula, on May 5th, 1989 (33 degree N 128 degree E)
