Four species of the genus Fauveliopsis are described or revised: F. brevis (Hartman, 1965)) F. adriatica sp.n., F. fauchaldi sp.n., and one form that is closely related to F. adriatica.
Hartman (1971) stated the genus only for the deep sea, but this study makes sure that Fauveliopsis species are also inhabiting shallow regions of the sea: F. adriatica was found in a depth of 60 m.
A complete dichotomous key of all hitherto known species of the genus Fauveliopsis concludes this paper.
