Status Maciolek (1990: 1111) placed the holotype as incertae sedis. She wrote that: "The holotype is very small, and has notopodial as well as neuropodial bifid hooded hooks. The pygidium is missing, but was described as having two short and four long cirri. Acceptance of this species into the genus Microspio would therefore necessitate a major emendation of the generic diagnosis. It is my opinion that the species is incertae sedis; it is probably a juvenile form and cannot be positively assigned to any genus." [details]
