Spelling The original spelling is Cistena pallassii with a double s. This is the spelling used in the ICZN Opinion and application commentary. However, most frequently the spelling used has been the expected 'pallasii' as (incorrectly) given in the Hartman (1959) catalogue, and in McIntosh (1922), who also misspelled the genus as 'Cistenia' [details]
